The white rubber part is a locking plug that can be inserted in between the arm ends of the quick release buckle. Having the rubber plug inserted prevents any accidental release of the quick release buckle, and also tightens up the fit. Here are instructions to swap out your housing doors on your camera's polycarbonate housing: 1. Open the backdoor of the housing so that it is hanging downwards as much as possible. 2. Pull downwards on the backdoor until it snaps free from the hinge. 3. Line up replacement backdoor into the hinge opening. 4. Push upwards on the backdoor until it clicks into place.

To mount the suction cup: Apply the mount to a clean, smooth, and flat surface. Any imperfections to the surface such as stickers or too much curve can cause a leak to the suction. Press the mount into place by pushing on the central knob marked 'PRESS'. Pull up on the locking lever to secure it into place. To remove the suction cup: Push the locking lever downwards to the unlocked position. Pull up on the rubber tab coming off the side of the suction cup to release the suction.
